Interested in increasing your social comfort and expressing your needs around the holidays? Burn survivors and loved ones are invited to join us for our next Education + Support Course Group happening on December 7 and 8th! This two-night group learning experience combines skill-building and peer support.
A set of two live virtual (video conference) groups for education and support around a specific topic. In December, our focus is on tools focused on increasing your social comfort, expressing your needs, and taking care of yourself – around the holiday season and beyond!
December, 2020 | 7 - 8:30 pm EST
Stay tuned for additional upcoming events.
This group is for adult survivors and family/loved ones. We ask that all participants identify within these categories. Basic Ground Rules will be shared to create a supportive setting.
Burn support professionals: we encourage you to explore our other online learning opportunities.
The group will meet through Zoom, a free video conference platform. Users can use a webcam and phone to connect. Participants who are located outside of the United States can use an international call-in number to connect (provided upon request).
Sign-up for instructions and a link to join the group. Due to the limited availability of seats, new participants will be granted precedence. We will notify participants by the week prior if the course is filled. Thank you for understanding!
The group is focused on peer-to-peer support for survivors and loved ones. It is facilitated by staff and emotional support providers connected to Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors. Active participation from Phoenix SOAR (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery) trained volunteers will be included, and conversation by all participants will make support grow for all present!
