Phoenix WBC 2014 - Opening Ceremonies
Phoenix World Burn Congress 2014 officially kicked off in Anaheim, CA, with attendees gathering together for the conference opening ceremonies. The ceremony created a memorable welcome to burn survivors, their loved ones, first-responders, and medical professionals - welcoming all to the burn community and encouraging participation in support, education, and healing. The ceremony held at the Hilton Anaheim, opened with an exciting display by Anaheim Fire & Rescue Honor Guard and San Bernardino City Professional Firefighters Pipes & Drums Corps.
Phoenix Society Executive Director Amy Acton officially opened the conference and warmly welcomed attendees to Anaheim and recognized those who helped make Phoenix World Burn Congress 2014 possible.
The conference attendees were also welcomed by Anaheim Mayor, Tom Tait; Chief Randy Bruegman, Anaheim Fire and Rescue; lead sponsors Karen Grimley and Dr. Victor Joe, of University of California Irvine Medical Center; Sandra Yovino, director, Burn Services, Community Regional Medical Centers' Leon S. Peters Burn Center; and Pat Horan, Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors Board President.
