Continuing the Conversation from Peer Support Chat 8/12/15:
Has anyone had personal experiences with hair transplant (after burn injury to the head/scalp)? What about tissue expanders in the scalp to stretch the area where hair is still growing?

Here’s an article about the many considerations that go into reconstructive surgeries and the general concept of “restoration” after burn injury. It’s written by a surgeon who specializes in both acute burns and plastic surgery. http://www.phoenix-society.org/resources/entry/reconstructive-surgery-restoration  It’s one way to examine the goals, timing, and team work that goes into this part of care after burn injury.
