Pam Elliott Advocates for Continued Fire Protection by Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCIs)

While many states are expanding the requirements for Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCIs), North Carolina is considering leaving their AFCI code as-is, and not supporting the expanse of the requirements of AFCIs in home building codes. On September 15, 2015, Pam Elliott, Phoenix Society Advocate, delivered powerful testimony in front of the North Carolina Building Code Council.  Pam Elliott survived a house fire at the age of three and is using her survivor's voice to affect change and prevent burn injuries.
