2015 Harman Award

Motorola Solutions Foundation: 2015 Harman Award

Matthew Blakely, Motorola Solutions Foundation Director, accepts the Harman Award from Amy Acton.
The Motorola Solutions Foundation was named as the recipient of the 2015 Harman Award, which recognizes a Phoenix Society supporter who has had great impact on
the burn community through philanthropic leadership. “Their commitment to the long-term healing of our fire service and the entire family is inspiring,” remarked Acton.

The Foundation was recognized for its instrumental role in providing those firefighters injured in the line of duty, and their families, with the support and resources needed
to reclaim their lives. Grants from the Foundation have enabled the Society to develop an e-book on school reentry for children of burn-injured firefighters, expand the
number of trained peer supporters available nationwide through Phoenix SOAR (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery) to assist burn-injured firefighters and their families, and offer firefighter-specific educational programming at Phoenix World Burn Congress.
