Planned Giving

With a planned gift to The Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, you can combine your philanthropic interests with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals.  Your planned gift will give you a special connection with the Phoenix Society and the burn community.  You will help those touched by a burn injury - for now and for years to come. 

 

Examples of Planned Gifts and bequests include:

  • Gifts by will
  • Gift through a "living" trust
  • 401(k), IRA, SEP or similar retirement plan beneficiary designation
  • Charitable remainder trust
  • Charitable gift annuity
  • Pooled income fund
  • Charitable lead trust

endowed funds

Endowed funds also require planning.  They are a wonderful resource as they provide a connection between today's donors and the future.  Based on spending policies developed by our Board of Trustees, annual spendable investment income from the endowments is conservatively targeted between 4% and 5% of its principle value.  This ensures the fund will continue to grow in principle and pay out in perpetuity.  

 

Phoenix Education Grant

This is an endowed fund established by Barbara Quayle in 2001 that provides post secondary school academic or vocational scholarships to burn survivors.  You can donate to this fund at any time.
