Robert Spence, M.D., director of the Johns Hopkins Burn Reconstruction Program, was trained in general surgery, plastic surgery and burn treatment at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
He is a staff surgeon at the Johns Hopkins Burn Center, the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Assistant Professor, part-time, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
His association with the Phoenix Society has been a natural outgrowth of his long time interest in the improvement of the well being of burn survivors.
