Pat Horan, an electrical contractor, was injured and severely burned in an electrical explosion in 1996. Pat, who credits the Society for getting him started on the road to recovery, has been involved with The Phoenix Society since then. He describes the people he has met and the resulting friendships as "an important part of his life." Pat has attended many of the Society's conventions and various workshops, and reports that he always "comes away with a deeper understanding and compassion for burn survivors in general."
Pat is an avid golfer, who also enjoys running, working out, and skiing, as well as reading and travel. Pat resides in Sparta, New Jersey with his two children. He is an active volunteer in his community, spending much of his time at the Burn Center at St. Barnabas.
