Megan Geerling received an A.A.S from Kellogg College in 1996 and from there worked as a Legal Assistant with a firm in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was first introduced to the burn community in 1999 while working as a Paralegal for a law firm in Kalamazoo, MI who specializes in cases involving severe burn injuries. Through legally assisting burn survivors and their families for 6 years, Megan gained an appreciation for the strength and courage burn survivors possess and a desire to do more to assist those affected by a burn injury. At the end of 2004, she moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan and came to work for the Phoenix Society and has done a variety of administrative and special project jobs while here. Megan now works part-time as the Fund Development Coordinator.
