Eunice Trevor, Esquire, is Of Counsel to the Firm. She is widely regarded as one of America's foremost legal experts in burn cases representing victims, survivors and their loved ones. She is responsible for numerous multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts in highly complex, high-profile burn cases stemming from negligence or defective products. In one four-year period, her outcomes in major plaintiff burn cases accounted for settlements or verdicts of more than $80 million. Nationally, she was among the top 500 "Leading Plaintiffs' Lawyers in America" in 2006, chosen by the independent survey group and magazine Lawdragon.
Her cases include: the largest pre-trial recovery in Delaware history in a matter involving spectator deaths and injuries at a public sporting event (amount of settlement is under seal); a $5 million settlement with $35 million to a young boy over his lifetime in structures in a stove tip over case in which he was scalded; and a $10.34 million settlement resulting from burn injuries to electrical subcontractors.
She is a summa cum laude graduate of undergraduate and master's degree programs from Temple University. A 1985 graduate of the Temple University School of Law, her professional background includes teaching special education prior to entering legal practice. Ms. Trevor is Founder and Chairperson of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Burn Injury Litigation Group and serves on the advisory committee of the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors (www.phoenix-society.org). She is a past Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Society, which is among the largest non-profit advocacy organizations worldwide providing support and services to burn survivors. Ms. Trevor serves on the Board of Directors, and is Education Coordinator, of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and is Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia.
An accomplished author and video producer, Ms. Trevor is the author of Know the Law, A Burn Survivor's Resource, published in 2003, a frequent contributor to the national plaintiff's attorney's magazine TRIAL and has had her work on video settlement brochures featured on broadcast television.
She also works as a counselor each summer at Camp Susquehanna, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, a camp for children who suffered burn injuries, and is a frequent presenter at seminars on trial techniques.
