Amy Rupert is the public relations specialist for Kidde Residential & Commercial, a fire safety manufacturer based in Mebane, N.C. Amy oversees Kidde's community relations efforts, including its product donation program and nonprofit partnerships. In addition, she works on national and regional public relations campaigns to educate consumers about the dangers of fire and carbon monoxide.

Prior to joining the company in 2005, Amy served as coordinator for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's MS 150 Bike Tour fundraiser in Raleigh, N.C. She holds a bachelor of science in journalism from Ohio University and resides in Chapel Hill with her husband, Doug.

Amy joined The Phoenix Society's Advisory Committee in 2006. Kidde has been partnering with the organization since 2004 and currently helps fund the SOAR program.
